Eva MeiLing Pollitt is a Colorado-born and raised writer/director. She has also lived and worked in Dallas, Brooklyn, France, Russia, and China. Her short film High won the Colorado Film Award; Gold at the Colorado International Film Festival, and screened in festivals in Colorado Springs and Denver. Her first film, Tenny, screened in festivals in New York and Denver and received an honorable mention with the Oasis Short Film Screening Series. Her screenplays have placed in competitions such as Barnstorm Fest 2019 (Finalist - High Pilot) and the WeScreenplay Shorts competition 2019 (Semi-Finalist - Clatterz on Highwayz Short Film). Her playwriting work has been produced with Sacred Circle Theatre Company (Brooklyn), the Rising Sun Performance Company at the Kraine (NYC) and in the Planet Connections Theatre Festival (NYC), with House Party Theatre (Dallas), and with SoundPlay.Media. She is inspired by her world travels and by stories of people fighting inner/outer darkness to find light. Interested in how surrealism, poetic realism, and magical realism can make interior experiences sensorially accessible.
