Stipend Pay Position
Expectations of role includes strong stage management, organizational and communication skills. Familiarity with both Mac & PC operating systems, ETC lighting board and Qlab Sound, and proficient in Excel, Word, Google Docs and Google Calendar platforms. Responsibilities include: Schedule Rehearsals, Booking Rehearsal Space thru designated channels, Sending daily rehearsal and performance calls, line notes and being on book during rehearsals, supporting director as needed during rehearsals, maintaining a functional and productive rehearsal environment, gathering, transporting and managing rehearsal props, Support and adherence to budgetary needs and applicable expense reporting, ensuring consistent calling and smooth running of the shows, Running sound and/or Light board as needed during rehearsals and performances, serving as on-site manager and safety coordinator during performances, problem solving, distributing notes pre, post and weekly show notes and reports, communicating and coordinating with cast, crew and front-of-house regarding performance issues, and maintaining clear & open communication with the Production Manager, Director & Producer. Attend Production, Crew and Company Meetings as needed. Stage Managers should be capable of running sound/lighting board as needed and may be called upon to run shows. Some Properties Responsibility may be required. Stage Managers must be obtain their NY State Fire Guard Certification at least 1 week prior to their first performance. Ideally first aid/CPR experience or general knowledge is helpful but not required.
Additional expectations include:
Candidates MUST be willing to work in a collaborative environment in a grassroots level Non-Profit Theatre Company, have boundless Talent, Creativity, and Flexibility. Particularly looking for theatre artists who are capable of and enjoy working within the limitations and unique challenges of OOBR/Indie theatre spaces & budgets.
Ideal candidates must be extremely self- motivated, and organized while also being flexible. Have strong creative ability, with great communication skills. Ability to maintain and work within a small budget and meet deadlines, work under pressure and work well within a team environment.
Excellent computer literacy, attention to detail and great people skills.

- We ask that all guest artists support the production with marketing/promotions, and attend/promote/support any show related fundraising events.
- The production has a philanthropy component, and we ask that all show members participate and support this initiative including volunteering events.
- Communicate an required information to cast & crew as needed during production
- Work with venues, making sure we are compliant with all requirements
- Record, distribute production meeting notes
- Stay in close communication with Director & Producer During production
- Maintain records of all Production Related reports
- Develop, Maintain and Archive a Production Book
- Co-Manages Production Calendar
- Provides on- site support, trouble shooting and management during shows
- Provides back up show support for calling/board op as needed
- Provides supervision to Interns & Run Crew
- Be Present for Load in and Load Out of productions
- We ask that all cast & crew participate in the events and advocacy
- We ask that all cast & crew actively help support the production by promoting the show
